O Antiphons - O Emmanuel

O Emmanuel, God with us, our King and Lawgiver, the expected of the nations and their Savior: Come to save us, O Lord our God.

O come, O come, Emmanuel,
And ransom captive Israel,
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear.

Rejoice! Rejoice!
Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel.

*deep breath* I'm blogging again, which means that I am not gripped with guilt whenever I visit a friend's blog! So here I am. It's Delaney from the forum, just in case you weren't clear on that. ;)

O Come, O Come Emmanuel is my favorite Advent hymn. Have you heard this beautiful version in Latin: Ahhh, she has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. :)
